Happy Independence Day!Chicago actually doesn't celebrate on the 4th, they leave that to the suburbs, but the City fireworks are on the 3rd. So yesterday I hopped on an 8am train and went downtown with my camera. Went to the Bean and fountains, wandered the new Modern Wing to the Art Institute, got some oreo cheesecake at the Taste of Chicago, went and saw the new Transformers movie (awesome, by the way), then met with some friends for an Armenian dinner and went to see the fireworks from Navy Pier. We didn't get home until 11:30pm and it was an...interesting...ride, but it was a fun day.
My feet and legs are soooooo sore right now though >.< Actually I should be working, but I just don't feel like it. I'll work on my report tomorrow afternoon.
I was thinking of going to Ribfest here in Naperville, but it's been raining non-stop alllll day today.
I'm not even sure if they're still doing their fireworks.What did everyone else do/doing for the weekend celebrations?
